Seniors In Verse
Smiling Jimmy Anderson is foremost on our list,
A boy filled full with devilment, who dearly loves to jest.
His car proved such a worthy one, and traveled round about.
We loved that lad at all the games, encouragement to shout.
Now Bobby Becker here he comes, the tall one of the class.
A lad who's grand in stature and quite capable at tasks.
Drum major's post he dignified and still somehow looked cute.
The eminence of majesty in his drum majors suit.
Cheerleader, Clariss Grovom is our bright and smiling lass.
Her job to lead in cheers and song our sports enthusiasts.
When Froid goes to the tournaments--the trophy dear to capture
The boys it seems of other teams, their hearts she does enrapture
James Grovom, too, is in our classg his talents--they are many.
At basketball and football, too he's just as good as any.
His singing voice has won for him renown and comrnendation.
After school--a storekeeper, a worthy occuaption.
Our boy, Clarence Hekkel, tall and dark, and almost always joking
This handsome lad's expressions are to us quite laugh provoking.
One day in class he did come forth with brilliant wittiscism.
Then teacher said, "Now let's proceed, we've had our Hekkelism.'
An athlete worthy of the name, our boy, Laverne Krohmer
Adept at touchdowns, basketball, and even hitting homers!
A whizz with tools, he has, indeed, mechanical inclinations.
We w0n't forget his Chevie car sprouting ornamentations.
Larry Lindberg, versatile in drama, voice, and sports.
ln games when foe was mightiest he oftimes held the fort.
With girls he seemed to have a way of starting up flirtations.
lThis habit now and then evolved in comic situations.,
Now Larry Lodmell, big of frame and bigger still of heart
Joined with us in our Senior year, but played a mightly part.
He offers cheery comfort when your spirits let you down.
An all-round friend in time of need, we're glad he's been around.
Norma Jean Mogen, bless her heart, fair maiden and reserved.
The rest of us might rant and rave, she rarely grew pertrubed.
She helped us all most earne stly, both competent and willing.
Remarkable for quietude, if not for top star billing.
Olsen we call him, tho--the first name is Eugene.
At work or sports or pleasure he is always on the beam.
If you need help when things around are going kinda rough,
Just call on "Olsen"--he's the boy. Sure Olsen's got the stuff!
Helen Schlagel worked with us and studied all the books.
She took the lunch names everyday--counts noses for the cooks..
In jobs or duties all the way--no one is any wiser,
They'll miss this gal when she is gone, one and all we prize her.
