SH Alilf Picture 2 - Friendly's Pom-Poms go into formation. Picture 3 -- Let's roll'em girls. Picture 4 - Friendly Pom-Poms mingle with the crowd and do a little dance. Picture 5 - Diane Niskanen and jill Peterson have different reactions to the play on the field. This year the squad went to many extremes to support the school. They supported Friend- ly's newly formed soccer team, cross country, and football teams. They decorated the homes of the football players, and they even had a mini-pep rally the night before the lst football game of the season. Besides marching in Friendly's Homecoming Parade, the group marched for the Allentown Boys Club in their Turkey Bowl Parade. The girls on the pom-pom squad are to be commended for their long and hard practices after school everyday. The year got ,off to a slow start because of bad weather. After their first home performance there was a long span of time be- fore they could peform again. However, the girls marched in spite of the pouring rain and mud at halftime during the Suitland game and did a wonderful job. CDITDTC I C7
