Mus C and S Friendly students are lucky to have such fine half-time entertainment during home football games. This talented group of young ladies and men has been organized and super- vised by Mr. Phil Simon. And through him, the Marching Band has grown to be one of the best Marching Bands in the county. 1 Picture 1 84 2 - The Friendly crowd is spirited by the Marching Band. DADDY l ss. . . -. i wg 3'- V6 5 1' W.i,:A The Colorguard is composed of eight young ladies whose job it is to present American Flag, the Maryland State Flag, and the School Flag at games, assemblies, and other school activities. The members are: Pam Granzen tcpti, Sherry Lundskow, Diane Dumas lalti, Kathy Ciambrial taltl, Carol Ann Lambert, Traci Zwerski, Terry Amacher talti, and Lil- lian jurau. Friendly had a new addition to their rooting section this year, the Drill Team. The squad is composed of ten young ladies all of whom will be returning next year. Although they were late getting started, they were able to perform at the annual Black History Week assembly. Members are tleft to rightl Cheryl Morris - Capt., Angela Chin - Co. Capt., Barbara Brown, Barbara Sales, Kat- rina Miller, Monique McCullough, Cynthia johnson, Anita Bryant, Sha- ron Statham, Monsita Smith. SPORTS ! 45

W' AID fl-iS DIQEAMS The Varsity Cheerleading Squad, con- sisting of 3 seniors, 5 juniors and 1 senior alternate, is very active throughout each season. They not only cheer at games, but support the teams with spirit raising activities. Making posters, decorating the lobby before games, organizing and par- ticipating in pep assemblies, the squad works to promote school spirit. During the summer, the cheerleaders had a car wash, a bake sale and two doughnut sales to help with the cost of their new uniforms.
