With about 25 dedicated people, the float was constructedin 8 evening sessions, each lasting at least 2 hours. The meetings took place at Nina Dichiacchio's house, with the final meeting at Verna Selner's, where the float was placed on her father's flatbed. The sophomores raised 21368.10 in a bake sale, using the money to buy materials for the float. The sophomore class wall, which came in second, took 3 weeks to erect, and was over- seen by the officers. Sophomores. They can't be dismissed by upperclassmen as un- important little people anymore. This year they are taller, more self-confident, more out-spoken tor brash, depending on how you look at ith and Friendlier than ever before. They sing, they act, they are involved in their class, in the school, in sports and ac- tivities. The seniors and juniors must admit that sophomores are involved in Friendly. SOPHOMORES! T35
