The halls seem longer, the water foun- tains seem higher and the work seems harder than any you've been used to in the past. You worry about pleasing your teachers, who you're going to sit with at lunch and stand with in the lobby and most of all g keeping cool. Coming back as a iunior is not quite as exciting. You still have the seniors to worry about, but things have settled down a bit. What differ- ence does it make if you let a little homework slide? The real height of status is walk- ing into Friendly as a Senior. You feel like you own the place. No one's bet- ter than you are. ln a few months you'll be walking out of the doors with twelve years ot education under your belt and your whole life ahead of you. EFQIJI-Wa UU W x if Did you know that it takes 396 light bulbs with 1500 watts each to light the football stadium? That's a total of 593,000 watts, as many as the lights used at each night game. The lights will be used by all high schools in P.G. county this year. Next year the field is expected to be used only by the Southern region of the county, according to Mr. Gough. Two other schools, one in Central and another in the Northern region of Prince George's will be getting lights next year. The lights ran up a very large bill of SB250,000, plus the 57.50 per hour that it costs to run them. These expenditures will be paid off by the organizations who use the field.
