Varsity Wrestlers are Steve Barr, Flick Black, Rene Retuta, Don Lawson, Marty Mariani, Mike Harr, Mike Matsumoto, Fahl. Dave Fieidy, Larry McGrady, Frank Tamura, Don Staats, and Kim McGowen. Mike McDonald, Lou Mariani, Bill rappling warriors struggle for championship Fremont's wrestling teams had a remarkable season this year. The Freshmen team, undefeated, was victorious over Buchser, the National League Champions. They took first place in the SCVAL American League Division. The Junior Varsity wrestlers came in second in the SCVAL, J.V. league champions were Sam Doying at 115 lbs. and Ken Nakamoto at 194 lbs. The Varsity team received third place in the SCVAL. Varsity league champions were Don Lawson and Frank Tamura. It was a disappointment to all concerned when Mike Harr broke his ankle and couldn't go on to win the league championship.

Desire, endurance key Water polo efforts lt was a winning season for both Varsity and Frosh- Soph water polo squads. Varsity finished the season with an 11-8 record while the Frosh-Soph had a slightly higher winning percentage with a 14- 4 record. Members of both teams received numerous honors. Senior Al Frazer, high team scorer, was chosen all-league first tean. Honorable mention was given to Al Lorentzen and Guy Frank. Kent Rodgers and Mark Lunsford made all-league first tean. Frosh-Soph.
