JIM THURSTON The Student Council of FCVHS is the representative hody of the Associated Students and the members are elected by the students with the consent of the principal. The Student Council is the law making body of the students and it is their aim to give the students equal representation. The Student Council is a strictly demo- cratic organization adhering to uiiobertis Rules of Ora deri' as a guide. Also, in addition to representation, it is the intent and purpose of the Student Council to teach and inculcate the traditions of the school living and practicing demo- cratic procedures. Likewise, teaching each student the values and opportunities in our school. It is traditional for the Student Council to handle all the events of Homecoming Day. Last year the Student Council went over the old Constitution of the students, amended it, and ratified it. This yearis Student Council is going over all club constitutions and ratifying them so the clubs will he representative of their true intent and purpose. Besides these activities, the Student Coun- Cil takes on other problems that come up during the Course of the year.
