Senior Class His'l'ory
As the door closes behind the first graduating class of Freeman
High School, we have had an opportunity to view the successful consol-
idation of two differmt groups of students.
This class of 1958 started out as the Freshmen of Rockford and
Lindbergh High Schools and continued as such mmtil the end of their
As Freshmen, neither class did very much in their respective
schools except to sponsor several dances. As Sophcmores, the Lind-
bergh students won honors when their candidate , Della Boy, was crowned
queen of the Fall Festival.
As Jxmiore, more was accomplished. The Rockford students pre-
sented a one-act play called "The Sheriff". They also gave the grad-
uating Seniors a breakfast before their sneak. They also Qve a prom
the theme of which was "Green Door". The Lindbergh Students gave a
dance and a play to earn money. The name of their play was "Heroes
Just Happen". They also honored the Seniors with a. banquet and a prcm,
the theme of which was "South Sea Island".
The first ,joint project of the two classes was a party that was
given for the student body early in December of 1957. A Senior play,
"Curtain Going Up'L was presented in mrch of 1958.
We hope we have made a good beginning for the years to cane.
