Present Concerts
The mixed chorus had an increase of nineteen members
over last year. On November 13, the chorus presented a
fall concert. lt also included numbers by the girls' and boys'
glee, All- State Chorus members and alternates, and the
sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.
The cantata Joy to the World was given on December
22. Those who sang solo parts in it were Eileen Koerner,
Tammi Graber, Judy Aman, David Christensen and Phil
Ries. Ted I-Iofer was the narrator.
On March 20, the Cornbelt Conference Vocal Festival
was held in Freeman. Others participating were Marion,
Montrose, and Canistota. Guest conductor for the day was
Mr. Don Peterson of the Sioux Falls public schools.
In the spring, another concert was given on April 9,
when the chorus, glee clubs, madrigal, and band presented
the contest numbers.
RIGHT: The four seniors chosen to represent Freeman
High at All- State Chorus are: David Christensen--bass, Dale
Aman--tenor, Eileen Koerner--soprano and Tammi Graber--
alto. They sang in the 1040 member chorus along with the
All- State Orchestra on October 7-8 at Sioux Falls. Director
of the mass chorus was Dr. Lloyd Pfaucsh from Southern
Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.
