Soloists receiving superiors at the contest are, BACK: joan Marie Wipf--baritone, Marcy Kaufman--tenor sax- ophone, Monte Kaufman-- trombone, Marilyn Stahl-- clarinet, Ardelle Kleinsas- ser--flute and piccolo. FRONT: Terry Walter--alto saxophone and David Schmi- dt--cornet, earned excellent ratings. Receiving an excellent at the contest was the woodwind quin- tet. BELOW: Arlene Kleinsas- ser, Marilyn Wipf, Judy Aman, Mary Preheim, Ardelle Kleinsasser. BELOW: George Villa, David Schmidt, and Ted Hofer compose the cornet trio which received a fair rating. Chosen as a member of All- State Band is Ardelle Kleinsasser--flutist. She attended the band April 10-11 in Watertown and played along with 164 musicians under the dir- ection of Miles johnson of St. Olaf College, North- field, Minnesota.

BELOW: Arlene Kleinsasser, Loa Laber, Marilyn Stahl and Garnet Gering played in the B flat clarinet quartet. The group received an excellent rating. The flute quartet received an excellent rating.
