ABOVE: The varsity cheerleaders for both basketball and football this year are Sandra Barta, Rose Hoff, Karon Uecker, and Barb Uecker. RIGHT: Serving as basketball managers are Charles Aman, Randy Wipf, and Ted Pidde. Flyers Ha ve Anothe BELOW is the Varsity basketball team. LEFT: Dale Aman, Kim Wilde, Jarvis Heckenlaible, Monte Kaufman, Greg Kleinsasser, Allen Weier, Don Han- son, Rick Preheim, Mark Mehlhaf, Gregg Graber, Tom Haar, Burnell Glanzer, and Coach Ron Bennett. The Freeman Flyers ended another successful season with a good 15-6 record. The Flyers finished second in the Cornbelt Conference with a 6-2 mark. rWinning Season During the year the Flyers played six teams which went on to win district titles. Of these six teams Freeman defeated Hurley which finished 3rd in the state this year, The past four years Freeman has compiled a record of 60 wins and 30 losses, with the aid of this year's graduating seniors. However, the signs for the future show that the winning ways of Freeman High School have just begun. 34

High point man was Greg Kleinsasser with a 14. 2 average. The defensive leaders were Gregg Graber, Greg Kleinsas- ser, and Don Hansen. The B team is shown BELOW: Ted Pidde, Bob Wol- lman, Tom Villa, Don Herman, john Weier, Dell Thomas, Gregg Graber, Don Hansen, Greg Klein- ABOVE are the B team Basketball cheerleaders.
