HNEW OCCASIONS DEMAND NEW DUTIESH Because of the National situation, the Fredonia High School Band and Orchestra had to adjust their musical programs. No longer did the State Music Festival enlist the efforts of the state's best bands and orchestras. Those musical organizations had to find definite enjoyment in participating in their individual school activities. The Fredonia High School Band and Orchestra played, from time to time, during assembly programs, The unswerving efforts of the music department went into the presentation of the Annual Spring Concert. The climax of the entire musical year was the provision of music for the Commencement Exercises. This year, though different in its wartime demands, furnished c:s usual musical relaxation and development for high school students.
