Prophecy
In the year 1969 I Arlene Ralsanen declded to spend my vacatlon trylng to locate my former
classmates For thxs deta1led and 1nterest1ng proJect I was fortunate rn securmg my boss's rocket
sh1p as my mode of transportatlon and a good mode It proved to be before I had completed my
Journey You see the class of 1959 never d1d bel1eve 1n lettrng the grass grow under 1ts feet'
Flymng due south over the vast domam of the Belg1an Congo I dlscovered a clearlng and a
m1ss1on cross here I saw a wh1te wo1nan d1rect1ng a trlbe of natlves Yes lt was Carol She
and her husband were m1ss1onar1es
I couldn't land because of the tall trees so I headed for the jungles I knew I'd f1nd one of
my classmates there Mxke and Sandy were happlly marrled and busy f1ght1ng off the w1ld l1fe
M1ke's amb1t1on always was to hunt the wxld an1mals of the jungles
Headlng on down to the South Pole I saw an 1ntell1gent lookmg lady so I brought down my
rocket and sure enough It was Mardella She chose the South Pole as her teach1ng area Smart
thmk1ng g1rl' It was rather ch1lly down that far south so I took off back to the north east
Flymg over Afr1ca you could never guess who I saw there Dennls Geranen was lnstructmg
a l1ttle crew of young chrldren They were l1ttle tow heads so I frgured they were Denny s and
Karen's
Beheve It or not but Myrna and L1la were st1ll travehng Th1s year they were tourlng the
European countrxes I stopped them 1n a castle along the Rh1ne 1n Germany and we chatted for
a wh1le Thelr husbands were at home baby s1tt1ng w1th the ch1ldren I asked them to rlde along
w1th me to see the rest of our classmates and we took off for the colmtry of F1nland
Ah' Yes' Here 1n Hels1nk1 1n Maunumaunu Hosp1tal was the head nurse Pr1sc1lla I knew
she would get what she wanted because she always was a hard worker
The g1rls were through tour1ng Europe so we headed back for good ole U S A We stopped
xn Wash1ngton D C and s1tt1ng 1n the l1eutenant's desk of the Women's Marlne Corps was Judy
Nlxon I saw that she was st1ll flghtxng off the members of the oppos1te sex'
Putter' sput sput' ZZoom' We were now near1ng the testxng grounds of the STRANCORE
Incorporated Les and Morrxe had the1r own factory and were manufacturlng cars
I left Lxla and Myrna at the1r homes and f1n1shed my Journey alone
Just as I passed over the Forbes h1lls I saw two men fxghtlng Yes xndeed Sharon was s1t
tmg on the s1de lxnes cheer1ng them on I don't know who won because I had to get back to my
Job as secretary Too bad I couldn't stay to see the end of that excmtmg bout'
