Eagles Claim First Homecoming Victory When the Lapel Bulldogs came to town on Sept. 17, The Frank- ton Eagles were ready. Although first year coach Bob Schar- nowske’s team was 1-3 the Eagles dominated the first half and went on to a 30-6 win. The win gave Frankton its first homecoming win ever. After the homecoming win, bad luck came to town. The Eagles came up on the short end against Highland, Ham. Hts., Wes-Del, and Tri-Central. First-time opponent Edinburgh came to town. The first half was close, and the Eagles took command in the sec- ond half for a 36-22 win. In the Edinburgh game, Steve Fuller rushed for 253 yards to become the first Eagle to rush over a thousand yards. VARSITY FOOTBALL SCORES El wood 48 FHS 0 Shendndoah 20 12 Ml.
