The Band’ Academics 24 Pride Grows for Eagle Band in 71 Pride ... a good feeling for which one has in itself, a definition descriptive of 'the Band.’ Hidden, as if a routine particle of school life, it created the luster, the mood essential where spirit was complete .• What was a school song, a football halftime, or a fast paced parade without the powered backing of the Band? Without it, there was only the confusion of the crowd. This determination was not acquired or borrowed, but built in the long hours of practice through which respect was born. They marched as one unit with their eyes toward perfection, while their goal lay only in pleasing the onlookers behind the Band.
