Classes 22 Tenth Grade rs Defeat Seniors in VB Windup The Band’ Academics 24 Pride Grows for Eagle Band in 71 Pride ... a good feeling for which one has in itself, a definition descriptive of 'the Band.’ Hidden, as if a routine particle of school life, it created the luster, the mood essential where spirit was complete .• What was a school song, a football halftime, or a fast paced parade without the powered backing of the Band? Without it, there was only the confusion of the crowd. This determination was not acquired or borrowed, but built in the long hours of practice through which respect was born. They marched as one unit with their eyes toward perfection, while their goal lay only in pleasing the onlookers behind the Band. BAND members are: FRONT ROW--M. McNamee, T. Nichols, D. Cockerham, P. It carries no weighing theme or hidden meaning between the facing pages. It says little of what happened at FHS for it is a visual picturebook--a book which you lived through and know its story better than what could be put in an author's unchangeable words. To each, it has a different story, a story told by one's own private feelings of jubilation and joy or despair over a lost direction. Its greatest lines will be written by fel- low classmates whose deeds will be revived as they are etched in the mind when their memory has long been for- gotten . . . Closing To All of Us, an End, and Another Beginning To many, these photographic images will represent no more than the blankness of the closed mind. They do not present a happening of any sort and content wise, possibly not belong among its chosen course. But if in one, a thought most cher- ished is again remembered, then the book's true purpose has been captured. 128 Closing
