for Business Leaders Judi Litsey and Roberta Heaton show shorthand skills as they practice symbols on the board. Many F.H.S. Students were on the Business Course during the 1968-69 school year. The courses offered in- cluded Typing I and II, shorthand, Busi- ness English, Business Math and General Business. The useful materials taught in these classes will help prepare both students planning to attend a business college and those going directly from graduation into some line of work. Students looking for- ward to challenging experiences and high paying jobs seek the field of business. Business English teacher Mrs. Sigler, helps Senior Terry McCord with a puzzling problem on a Business Letter, during Business English Class. The adding machine is an important device in any business course.

Pointing out the winning party in Indiana's election to Judi Litsey, is Senior Government student, Jerry Williams. The Social Sciences Breed Understanding World History students David Walker, Nancy Voss, and Dennis Church plan their group's presentation to the class. Through the study of the Social Sci- ences, F.H.S. students became more aware of their responsibilities as citizens of a democracy. They learned about the achievements of their forefathers in United States and World History, and of their significance in today's world. They learned about the topagraphy of the U.S. in Geography, and through a Sociology class, students became aware of major U.S. problems. Government classes held a little extra for this year's seniors, as the National and State elections were focused upon, and mock elections were conducted by the classes . Government students also acted out a week in Con- gress, and were kept abreast on current events and world trouble spots, along with all the other Social Studies courses.
