Senior English stu- dent, Belinda Ice, gives a report on one of the ancient Greek Gods. Better Communication Is the Goal of The English, and foreign language department at Frankton strive for bet- ter communication, through better use of languages. English teachers stress to their stu- dents the importance of knowing their language so they might better communi- cate with their fellow man. The Latin Department presents an excellent background for English and Spanish. Spanish gives students a taste of a foreign country. English Nine student demonstrates the technique of making a Christmas wreath as a part of her require- ments for oral work. Junior English student Gary Hosier, gives a speech for Mr. Hubbartt and fellow students. 20

Studying Math and Science in Our World Being closely related, the Math and Science Departments prepare college bound students to reason and to develop logic. With up to date materials, the Math Department offers General Math, Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Trig- onometry. Equation solving in Math helps stu- dents to deal with the sciences. F.H.S. offers Biology, Chemistry, and Physics The laboratories, with new and varied equipment, aided students in searching out the answers to sometimes difficult problems. Watching the activities of different types of bacteria, are Lisa Allen, and Kathy Barker. Setting up equipment for their next Physics experiment are Seniors Dave Dinsmore and Tom Masters. 19
