Before We Leave Let Us Add This Word . . Does it seem hard to realize that the class of 1951 now confronting you in all its strength and beauty, with its wealth of experience written on its various features, was ever a class of silly young freshmen? We were, indeed. With nothing in our brains but a lot of nonsense and nothing in our open actions but a lot of giggles, yet such is the fact. That such a lot of silly, empty-headed, rattle brained youngsters could ever have developed into noble, thoughtful and wise-appearing seniors, is indeed something to be thank- ful for. Some of us have been together for twelve years. To such ones we can only say, we have weathered a good many storms together and have found school life not all a bed of roses. But we must truthfully say that whatever of trouble and annoyance has come to us has been largely our own fault and the natural result of our own carelessness, indifference or outright disobedience to rules which we understood perfect- ly well. Unlike previous classes, we took our senior trip at the beginning of our senior year. It had its ad- vantages as well as its disadvantages. We were able to reminisce together throughout the year, but what is the end of the school year without a trip? We are indebted to Mr. Lee who served us as sponsor from the seventh grade through to graduation. He kept after us, otherwise we might not have had enough finance to see us through.
