We can't say it's all been good Neither all so bad. But just to think school is over Makes us feel so sad. Life is shortg years go fast. Our work is just begun. We'll do our best to win this race, This race we have to run. We hate to say good-bye to you. To us you've been so good. You've taught us how to read and write And do all the things we should. We've loved your halls and your rooms And all your teachers, too. But we're glad most of all We've finally made it through. ymcw LYNDA ROSE ALLRED Pleas ant Garden High School 1, 2, 35 F.H.A. 1, 2, 4, Publicity Chairman 45 Class Treasurer 15 Basketball 2, 35 Track Team 15 Miss Merry Christmas 35 Senior Harvest Queen 45 Homecoming Court 1, 25 Cheerleader 45 Pep Club 45 Science Club 45 Senior Superlative: Best Look- ing. Dur- ing November and December she taught 6th Grade as a substitute at Franklinville School. Most ofthe weekends, she has been visiting churches, telling people about her work, and seeking support. Linda's parents assist her with the presentations, which usually include a 20 minute slide presen- tation and a demonstration of folk items from Africa she has col- lected. Parents, Don and Evangeline, and brother David, fully support Linda's decision to be a career missionary. "It takes a little while to sink in," Don said, "but I think any parent would be glad to see their son or daughter decide to do this kind of work." Linda became a Christian at age fourteen while attending Pleasant Cross Christian Church. The family now attends Parks Crossroads Christian Church.
