For most people, these minutes of history pass all too quickly. One enters high school and, as he looks forward, four years of study seem a long time. It soon passes, however, and, as the senior looks back, he wonders how it has gone so rapidly. Undoubtedly, the task of studying is as old as the human race. The word "study" teems with universal interest. It has become almost the shadow and light of education. The interest in and the demand for study IS more widespread today than ever before in the history of the world Men, women, and children who have attained the use of reason are more or less absorbed in this stupendous activity Mind contacts mind and a new idea is born This idea may develop into another advancement or into another source of harm to man It is our hope that the guidance received by our pupils durmg the years they spend in Franklin High School will help them develop ideas that will be a boon to man .ll J Forrest Burns, Superintendent Franklin City Schools .Q 'I II.I+fI 'I , I I . .I,I ,.+ I I .III , ...,X A .I.v I, III ' .,I4,g' Q. x'!,'..',.'-.5 -' . , Os . v ., , 'v ".,'f 4' .
