In the fall of 1940, a crop of green-as-ever freshies entered Franklin halls to make
a place for themselves. After several years of happy memories, there finally came the
time for the class to organize. September 29, 1943, marked its first meeting, at which
time officers for the seventh term were elected. We were very fortunate in having as
our adviser, Mrs. Glover, who has been a constant help to us in everything we have
done or attempted to do.
At the beginning of the spring term new officers were elected, and because of his
fine leadership George Van Bergen was re-elected as our class president. The first
activity of the spring term was the Freshie Frolic, which was very successful.
