Judy s winning smile, appreciativeness, and understanding, are some of the reasons that she is so well liked at Franklin High. Her dislike for being teased may be the reason that she is so kind and understanding to others. Judy always enjoys a good time and contributes her share to it. GEORGE IRVING HOWARD JR. Summer Street Buzzie” Jest and youthful jollity Buzzy” is one of the funny” boys of our class. His antics and remarks have made us all laugh at one time or another. When not in school, Buzzy” can be found hamming” for he is an amateur radio Ham,” but when in school, he is usually found having fun with his chums. SELMA MAE HOWARD Summer Street All her ways are gentleness and all her paths are peace Selma is quiet not because she is shy, but because she is calm. CLAIRE MARIE JACQUES 39 Hill Avenue Neatness is never a mistake” Claire is another quiet member of our class. She is also one of our prettiest girls. Neatness is certainly one of Claire’s virtues, because she never has a hair out of place and her clothes are as neat as can be. ELAINE HARVEY 10 Garfield E. H.” Laughter is the best medicine.” Some people never seem to be unhappy or complaining, and Elaine is one of these. You never see her in the corridors without hearing her bubbling laugh or seeing her happy face. She rarely seems to be at a loss for words and her gift of gab” is envied by many. When a group of girls is playing basketball, Elaine is right in the middle of them, because basketball is the sport in which she stars. HEATON 61 Crocker Avenue ' ' Jan ’ ’— ' ' Hun key’ ’ ” Willingness leads to the road of success.” Janice is a quiet member of our class, but she is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. Her cheerful smile and pleasing personality should help her achieve her ambition in life. JOAN CAROL HOLMES 219 Union Street Joanie” — Holmsey” A winning smile—an excellent friend, an earnest worker, fun to the end.” Joan is one who is always entertaining and ready with an answer. Her warmth, friendliness, and humorous nature, which are evident to everyone, show that Joan is fun to be with. Although she expresses surprise and wonder concerning evil, she recognizes the good in all. She inspires good will in everyone. WILLIAM THOMAS HEAPHY 90 Summer Street Hacey” — Chedda” He that mischief hatcheth, mischief catcheth.” Billy” is a boy with many interests. When the fishing season starts Billy” is one of the first to try his luck and during the hunting season, he can be found hunting for game in the early morning before school starts. In his spare time he is found working on his car or having some good-natured fun with his numerous friends. KENNETH KONIS Peck Street Kenny” Silence is true wisdom’s best reply” Although he is retiring and avoids the limelight, we who know Ken realize that he is one of the most intellectual members of our class. Whenever he wants to, Ken can be the first to come up with the right answer. Applying his ability, he is sure to go far in life. I f f » l DAVID PAUL LOVIOLETTE 796 Pond Street LaBoo” A jolly good fellow is he” LaBoo is our class cynic but not seriously so. He always has a slightly acid comment to make which provokes discussion but the smile that follows erases the sting. David is headed for a career as a bone specialist. RAMONA ELAINE LEWIS 31 Peck Street Monie” A lady to the manner born” A newcomer to the class of ’58 in her Junior year, Ramona is unquestionably the best typist in the class. She is efficient with the orderliness of maturity, certain to be an asset to her future employer. LOZZI 59 West Street foanane” — Jo” Ready in heart, ready in hand” Joanne’s systematic handling of refreshment committees has many times been responsible for successful social activities. A lively cheerleader, a friendly person, Joanane is a valuable member of our class.
