Although the sun is setting on an era in our lives, dawn is just beginning on the life of Franklin High School; and we have been a part of this ‘new day.’ ” Editor’s Farewell 134 For the seniors this new day is a big decision; it is a time when we must seek newer and higher goals, to take life as though it were a grand opportunity; to do and to achieve; to carry forward great and good ideas, that we might become good leaders for the future. “We have much to look back upon with warm memories. May this yearbook help preserve in a vivid way many of those memories. May we find in it remembrances of many good times ... times of excitement and surprise, times of worthwhile hard work, times of companionship with friends. As we turn through its pages on some distant day may there be within us an ocean of pride and love, disturbed only by homesickness for all that Franklin High School has meant to us.’’ 135 It Was A Good Year A Time To Think . . . 136 . •. .
