provide diversified activities
A variety of intramural sports was present at Frank-
lin this year, appealing to the interest of a diverse stu-
dent body. To some, Tuesday afternoons at Livonia Lanes
was the place to be when the bowling teams, sponsored
by Mr. Avagian and Mrs. Morningstar, performed. For
those boys concerned with physical fitness, there was
weight-lifting every Monday and Wednesday afternoon.
Both ping-pong and pool were added.
Although weather conditions weren't too coopera
tive, Franklin's Ski Club successfully completed five trips
and kept casualties to a minimum. Officers Patt Dunham,
Walt Dondzila, Jeanette Joloin, ancl Joanne Dommer, to-
gether with club sponsor, Mr. Gillis, organized a dry
land ski school for all interested novices.
