This year the Frankfort Falcon Marching Band was under the direction of DuWane Sandlin and Fred Kesner. The band consisted of 97 members of which 70 were musicians, 19 were silks and 7 were rifles. Mari Johnson was the Field Commander. The band staff consisted of David Satterfield, Rodney Powers, Greg Chaplain, Brian Lechliter, Tom Logsdon, and Mike Lagatta. The band competed in the Martinsburg Band Spectacular, Shade Central Show, The Mountaineer Marching Classic, and the T.O.B. Semi-Finals where they captured Grand Champion in each one. The climax of the season occurred when the band progressed to the T.O.B. Finals. The success didn’t come overnight. There were many hard hours put in working on drill, music, and routines. The band feels all the hard work and dedication were well worth it. Band 43
