Frankfort’s Student Council The Frankfort High Student Council was formed early in the school year. Elections were held by the student body to choose the president and vice-president. By popular vote, Chris Lockard was elected president and Donnie Wolford vice-president. Three representatives from each class and one from each club were selected to be members. The council elected George Poling to serve as treasurer and Tami Pyles to serve as secretary. The Student Council has been very important in student — administration relationships, as well as arranging Homecoming and various other activities. The French III class, under the direction of Paulette Athey, prepared and served a French meal in honor of Peggy Schlarb, student teacher, early in December. Among the guests were Su- perintendant Richard Campbell, Curriculum Su- pervisor Mrs. Betty Livengood and WVU Stu- dent Teacher Supervisor Dr. Artha Deay. 60 Here are some scenes from the botany excursion earlier in the school year. Instructed by Bill Man- ning, these students have spent the warmer months mapping the area, showing county officials around, working on a nature trail, and transplanting trees around the school. ‘ f ‘
