History Begins Frankfort’s First Graduation The junior ushers Tammy Pyles and Dave Savilisky led the seniors out of the audito- rium. Along with a few prayers for good weather, the first graduation at Frankfort High FBA CLASS OF got off to a wonderful start. The seniors began arriving, anxiously awaiting the eve- ning ahead. After days of practice, the time had finally come! The first to graduate from Frankfort was Bill Peer. Bill (upper left) was injured in a motorcycle accident. Fortuna- tely Bill had his graduation ceremonies at the hospital.

The traditional music “March of the Priests” by Mendelssohn played by George Poling and Doug Kesner brought the seniors into the auditorium for the first Bac- calaureate service at Frankfort Baccalaureate Is Held Vinee High School. Invocation was given by Alanea Dick and was followed by a selection from the senior chorus directed by George Ott. The Reverend Preston Mill- er, minister of Bethesda Church of the Brethren and also faculty member of FHS, presented the sermon to the graduates. The senior chorus sang an- other selection. Chris Lockard delivered the Benediction.

The Frankfort High Concert Band under the direction of George Ott played several se- lections before the ceremony began. The 1977 Senior Class then marched into Frankfort Stadium while the band played “Pomp and Circumstance”. The Invocation was given by Craig Adams (upper left), and Margaret Bean (left) present- ed the Welcome Address. The Chorus, also directed by George Ott, sang two selec- tions during the ceremony.
