REDBIRD NOTES is not a club or an extracurricular activity, but a serious class dedicated to the production of a school function. Lack of funds forced R.B.N. to reduce the number of issues this year. Previously R.B.N. published nine issues; this year only five issues made it to F.C.H.S. classrooms. REDBIRD NOTES is generally regarded as one of the finest high school papers in Southern Illinois. R.B.N. annually attends Southern Illinois Press Association and competes with other high school papers for journalism awards. 132 Junior Bobby Hill lays out page in prcparalion for deadline.R.B.N. Advisor Russell Clover works closely with this year's editors to complete the layout of the school paper. N. Cowsert, K. Harpool, and S. Marvel work on last minute alterations. Teamwork is a vital element to R.B.N. success. 133CO-OPERATIVE TRAINING — L. Cremeens, L. Hefner, L. Shoemaker, L. Williams, T. Cogdill, L. Parrish, G. Broy, Mrs. Hcdley, D. Bowers, M. Perry, T. This was a meticulious but a fun process. It was a combined effort of many individuals. To be frank, we are all glad it’s over, but without the leadership of our advisor, Mrs. Hellen Mary Batts, the successful completion of this book would not have been possible. The REDBIRD Annual Staff would like to acknowledge the support of the professional people of West Frankfort. They would also like to thank Mr. Larry DeMattei and Mr. Steve Smith of Delmar Studio for their help and co-operation. This year’s staff was headed by Editor-in-Chief John Robinson. Others seniors were Mike Karoski, Sports Editor; Dan Hall, Advertising Manager; and Chuck Wortman, Football Section. The REDBIRD Annual extends its appreciation to all who made this yearbook possible.AutographsAutographsAutographsAutographsAutographsAutographsAutographsAutographs
