Kathy Bacon; Treasurer. Rhona Smith. In this bicentennial year the seniors found themselves on the threshold of graduation and about to enter into the adult world. These students have seen many changes in their four years at F.C.H.S. One change that affected students was the privilege of voting at the age of eighteen. The girls became more aware of the growing women’s liberation movement. Boys registered for the selective service. Blue jeans became the uniform of the day. Afro hairdos became popular. The class sponsor was Mr. DeMattei. For their class officers they chose: Pres. Suzanne Quarrels: Vice Pres. Mickey Garrett; Sec. Kathy Bacon; Treas. Rhona Smith. During the homecoming the seniors watched as Elaine Yadro was crowned queen. Maid of Honor was Julie Hughes. Lady in Waiting was Becky Bowman. They also saw the Redbirds fight for a well earned victory over their rivals, the Benton Rangers. The class of '76 will now begin their new lives. Never will they forget the four years that they spent at this school and the satisfying impressions that it left on them. 44Ahlm, Richard Akins, Kenny Anderson, Dennis Bacon, Kathy Baker, Virgil Barnfield, Karl Barrell, Clyde Barton, Jim Batts, Lynn Bellamy, Pam Bernhard, Julie Blades, NormanBoozer, Rick Bowman, Becky Brown, Becky Browning, Benny Browning, Gilbert Burns, Charles Carroll, Toni Cash, Mike Castagna, Paula Chance, Bruce Chandler, Patty Chastain, Kevin 46Christian, Martha Culbertson, Jeff Dimmick, Walter Dorris, Tim Dotson, Brenda Doty, Craig Duff, Jim Evard, James Florian, Elaine Gardner, Jylonda Garrett, Mickey Gray, Mike 47Howerton, Dawn Pollard Hubbard, Vicki Hughes, Julie Huite, Carla Ice, Larry Jensen, Kurt Jeter, Debbie Johns, Carla Johnson, Debbie Julian, Nancy Kessell, Rainee Lampley, TimLee, Lisa Lenich, Brian Livesay, Deborah Livesay, James Mabery, Steve Mabry, Kendra Margelli, Kathy Pepper Maurer, Michael McClerren, Suzanne McDonald, David McElyea, Brenda McGhee, Theresa 50McKie, Margaret McLain, Bruce McMillin, Ken Melvin, Dayna Melvin, Steve Metheny, Jetta Miller, John Mills, Dane Mize, Steve Moore, Hugh Moore, Debbie Kirk Morhet, TimMorris, Terri Nicklin, Brenda Norman, Chris Patton, Margaret Pearce, Vicky Qualls, Gay Quarrels, Suzanne Randolph, Michael Reeves, Karen Rogers, John Sabolo, Linda Schmidt, Lynn 52Smith, Kendra Smith, Michael Smith, Rhona Soulsby, Rex Summers, Phyllis Summers, Sheina Swafford, Janet Swain, Lisa Tanner, Suzanne 53Tatom, John Tharp, Cynthia Vosbein, Mike Wagner, Brad Walker, Tim Wall, Vickie Warren, Heidi Watkins, Kay Watson, Jamie White Webb, Tammy Wheeler, Susan Whiting, Larry 54Wilburn, Debbie Wilce, Allen Wilkinson, Jeff Williams, Richard Williams, Sherry Wilson, David Wilson, Neal Yadro, Elaine Baker, Archie Blackburn, Tim Britton, Dave Britton, Tom Buckingham, David Cline, Tim Crader, Linda Doty, Toni Dutton, James Edwards, Judy Not Pictured Ellis, Robert Grant, Keith Hampton, Richard Holman, Cheryl James, Diane Long, Brian Martin, Douglas McGinty, William Melvin, Mark Mikutis, Kevin Mocaby, Jerry Mocaby, Michael Nicholson, Bill Peebles, Greg Pittman, John Poole, Terri Summers, Rodney Tate, John Todd, Bill 55Senior Activity Pages Ahlm, Richard - Band; Student Council; Key Club. Dial 932-2564 Best Wishes to the Class of ••76" MIKE RIVA, ATTY. AT LAW S. J. PA0ANO, D.M.D. TERRY HOPKINS, ATTY. AT LAWMemories. . . The whiplash of a crowded hallway, the satisfaction of a good halftime show, the quietness of a library hour, the pangs of pre-lunch hunger, the anxiety of a missed field goal . . . all are memories to be treasured and forgotten. We the staff of the 1976 REDBIRD Annual would like to take this time to thank the many people who have contributed to the completion of the yearbook. We would like to thank . . . the many business firms and patrons of West Frankfort for their support: our photographer, Mr. Tim Rissi, for his patience and time; Mr. Bill Blewett, Taylor Publishing representative; Mr. Borton, the faculty, and administration for their cooperation; and a very special thanks to the yearbook advisor Mrs. Hellen Mary Walker. As we accepted our roles as staff members, we didn’t realize the tremendous amount of responsibility involved. But as the year progressed, we felt the work was well worth its time. 176AutographsQpvufrr
