THE WHULE SCI-ll00lL , . IS SINGING THEIR SONGS Xia MIXlElD CHORUS "With a Song in Our Hearts," we joined the vocal department in singing classical, semi-classical, popular, and pep songs. Miss Belle Longbons, di- rector, and the vocal department are to be commended for their achievement in both choral and vocal ensemble music. The Mixed Chorus appeared at music festivals at both Du Quoin and Carbondale, and presented various assembly programs. With them we journeyed in song on a "Louisiana Hay- ride," enjoyed a "Russian Picnic," and took a "Holiday for Strings." We expressed our religious devotion in these songs: "Lift Thine Eyes to the Mountains," "The Lord's Prayer," and "We Sing Thy Praise."
