V The T(ed Tird Each and every man should interest himself in public affairs. There is no pleasure in mere money. After it is acquired, one can use but a very small amount. It is given us to eat so much, to wear so much, and use so much shelter and comforts, and more we cannot use. When money has supplied these, its use, so far as the individual is concerned, is ended, and we must look still further and higher. It is only in public affairs, where money is a moving force toward the general welfare, that the possessor of it can possibly find pleasure, and that only in constantly doing more. The greatest good man can do is to cultivate himself, develop his powers, in order that he may be of greater service to mankind. BOARD OF EDUCATION
