That school is now Frankford High School. The man whom we honor on these pages was its first principal. He was the father of this school. From his integrity the school assumed an integrity it has never lost, from his love of learning the school learned to love excellence, from his class room example his students gained much. No one who wanted to learn came to his classes and failed to be taught. Out of class no one worthy of aid failed to obtain help from him. He praised, he reproved, he was a friend, he called each pupil by name. We honor him on his seventy-fifth anniversary because he held before his pupils ideals this school has never forgotten, because he inspired boys and girls to strive for perfection and to take pride in their accomplishments.
