We enrolled in Publications, a new course i.n our curriculum. We gave to the students of Reorgan- ized District-III their first school paper, THE SPOTLIGHT. We hope that we have started what will become a tradition. May THE SPOTLIGHT become a better and a more frequent publication, and may it be a means of unifying our sprawling district. For the fit st time the yearbook has been published by a class. Previously the staff consisted of a few volunteers, We have initiated the sale of advertising to help finance the HOWELLTONIAN. Many things go into the making of a yearbook- -photographs, rubber cement, type- written copy, worry and thought, time and energy. We have done our best to give you a yearbook of which you may be proud. In future years we hope that it will be a source of many pleasant memories. fa J, Student Council ROW ONE Richard Scharnhorst Stephen Hercules Alfred Meyer Treasurer Donald Meets Kenneth Ke1 ser President Lawrence Stevener Joe Meyer Wllllam Stegmann ROW TWO Rex Brxght Gracxe Sch nexder Secretary Carol Fetsch Edlth Schwendemann Bonnle Self, Larry Matekja The student council exlsts for the purpose of glvxng the students a practlcal knowl edge of democracy by mstltutxng student partlczpatlon Ln the government of the hlgh school. fl bl 2?
