HOWEVER, THE EVENTS WHICH HAVE TRANSPIRED IN THE PAST FOUR YEARS WILL REMAIN IMPORTANT TO THE MEMBERS OF OUR CLASS. IN THE FALL OF OUR FIRST YEAR AT FRAMINGHAM WE WERE TAUGHT BY THE CLASS OF I953 TO ASSUME THE HUMILITY BECOMING TO FRESHMEN. THOSE INDIVIDUALISTS WHO CHOSE TO DISOBEY THE ORDERS OF THE SENIORS WERE ACCORDED PUNISHMENTS AT FRESHMEN COURT. WITH RELUCTANCE, WE LEARNED DURING THE YEAR THAT PART OF EACH DAY HAD TO BE APPORTIONED FOR STUDY AND PART FOR PLAY. IN OUR FEW MOMENTS OF LEISURE, WE PLANNED FOR STUNT NIGHT. SINCE WE AIMED AT ORIGINALITY, WE PRESENTED A BIRTHDAY CAKE TO OUR CHAIRMAN AS A NEW TWIST. THE FRESHMEN LAUREL OF FOURTH PLACE WAS GRACIOUSLY PRESENTED TO OUR CLASS A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME WAS THEN DEVOTED TO WRITING SOURCE THEMES. BUT THE WARM WEATHER CAME OUICKLY. TIRED AND SUNBURNT WE RETURNED FROM OUR OUTING TO NANTASKET TO FACE THE PROSPECT OF FINAL EXAMS. "WILL WE PASS?" BECAME THE OUESTION OF MANY. THE FOLLOWING FALL WE RETURNED EAGER TO LET OUR PRESENCE BE KNOWN ON CAMPUS. 1 THOUGH SMALL IN NUMBER, WE SUCCEEDED IN THIS ENDEAVOR. OUR FIRST CLASS DANCE, THE SOPHOMORE HOP, WAS THE FIRST OF I RESPONSIBILITIES WE HAD THIS YEAR. "SHOULD WE HAVE MEN ON CAMPUS" BECAME THE THEME OF OUR SECOND ATTEMPT AT STUNT NIGHT. THEN WE WERE FACED WITH MAY DAY PROBLEMS. "WHO WILL BE OUR OUEEN?" WE VOWED NOT TO TELL. THE SEVEN DWARFS, ICHABOD CRANE, AND ROBINSON CRUSOE WERE A FEW OF THE MANY CHARACTERS WHO STEPPED OUT OF STORYBOOKLAND TO FETE OUR OUEEN, MARY MACDONALD, AND HER COURT. HAVING BEEN SO ACTIVE IN THE PREPARATION OF MAY DAY, WE SPENT THE REST OF THE YEAR ABSORBING THE SUN ON THE TENNIS COURTS. TIME WAS PASSING SO OUICKLY, WE COULD HARDLY BELIEVE THAT WE HAD REACHED THE HALFWAY MARK IN OUR COLLEGE CAREER. DINNER PARTIES IN CROCKER, EARLY MORNING BREAKFASTS, LESSON PLANS AND BULLETIN BOARDS MADE US REALIZE THAT WE WERE JUNIORS AT LAST. DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, MANY LEARNED TO APPRECIATE EXTENDED CAMPLS LIFE. BELIEVING THAT EVERY HOME NEEDS A PET, CROCKER HALL PLAYED HOST TO A WHITE FURRY HOUSE GUEST. AT LAST, WE MANAGED TO PRODUCE A WINNING STUNT SHOW WITH OUR MULTITUDE OF GHOSTS. BUT IT WAS JUN OR WEEKEND AT THE GREEN ACRES AND THE BEACONSFIELD THAT V PROVED TO BE THE SOCIAL H GHLIGHT OF t THE YEAR. AS WE WATCHED THE CLASS OF I954 RECEIVE THEIR DEGREES, WE REALIZED , THAT WE WERE SENIORS AT LAST. ' " I THE MEANING OF THE CAP AND GOWN WAS EXPLAINED BY OUR CLASS PRESIDENT, MARY RYAN, AT OUR SENIOR INVESTITURE CHAPEL. OUR INITIATION OF THE FRESHMEN IN TRUE COWBOY FASHION WAS FUN FOR US. AS EACH EVENT PASSED-FRATEACO, CHRISTMAS CAROLING, FORMAL BANOUET-IT WAS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS THE LAST TIME WE WOULD BE PART OF IT. IT WAS "SO LONG TO STUNT NIGHT" AS WE MANAGED TO ADD FIFTY-FIVE'S NUMERALS TO THE STUNT NIGHT BANNER FOR THE SECOND YEAR. PLANS, PLANS AND MORE PLANS TO ARRANGE FOR GRADUATION. THOSE LAST FEW DAYS SEEMED A FITTING CULMINATION TO OUR COLLEGE CAREER. , f 941 J, SENIOR PROM AT THE BOSTON CLUB, FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE ON SATURDAY NIGHT I THE FINALE FOR THE CLASS OF NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FIVE. WE WERE NOW READY FOR OUR RESPONSIBLE POSITIONS IN TEACHING.
