. 'JF HUSPITALME Doc Riddles and his able assistants are the ones who keep us healthy. A sick crew cannot fight the ship, or even keep it running for that matter. So, through frequent innoculations fouch!5a such epidemic type diseases as flu, plague, cholera, and smallpox are kept off the ship. The Doc is still working on the common cold but his- best recommendation is a different kind of shot and a good night's sleep. The HM,s are also very handy to have around in case of an injury at sea. For the serious ones, Doc plays a recording of a real M.D. saying Take two aspirin and call me in the morning. Most comforting! The clowning below is testimony to the effectiveness of FOX' drug awareness program. The good judgement andmaturity of our crew is such that we have kept drugs off of FOX, mainly through self policing. It is a serious problem but we on FOX can kid openly about it as it presently is non-existent for us. We all hope it stays that way. - A ' ' But they said they had prescriptions! HIP'S UFFICE The Shipis Office or People Office as its inhabitants prefer to call it is the Hall of Records and the Secretarial Pool for the Ship. The YN 's are very adept at turning a page of chicken tracks into a neatly typed business letter. All typing done on the ship is done by either the YNXPN community in the Ship's Office or by one of the departmental YN's who are on temporary ,assignment from the YN Pool' '. All official correspondence both incoming and outgoing flows through hereg 'The PN,s are the custodians of all the serv- ice records, and thus are responsible for re- cording promotions, courses and schools com- pleted, and changes in dependent status. They, are also here to help the crew with any problems, like transfers, dependent I.D. cards, or any question about service records.
