S TOR EKEEPER At one time or another, everyone aboard FOX has undoubtedly wished the Storekeepers would disappear, but the truth is the ship would come to a screeching halt without them. Their 1250's confoundieveryone and seem like unnec- essary harassment to many of us, but docu- mentation is a vital part of the supply system. Based on the data developed the SK?s have built a stockpile of all the frequently used parts we need to do. our-everyday work. If someone needs a part not stocked the SK's have agiant catalogue system andcan order it sothat it arrives on board-in the shortest possible time. SHIP 'S SER VICEME The ship' s Servicemen perform many varied functions aboard the FOX, all concerned with service to the crew rather than maintenance or combat efficiency of the ship. The importance of this rating is that a happy crew does better work, and the SH's keep the crew happy. The SH's run the ship's store providing-a place to buy toothpaste, soap, uniforms, and a few gift type items, not to mention the two coke machines. The ship's laundry providing clean clothes daily to the crew is also run by the SH's. And one place many' of the crew would like to see less of, the barber shop. Itkeeps everyone neat dur- ing 30-day line periods when no access to the hair stylists ashore is available.
