E Division is comprised of Electricians Mate and Interior Communications Electricians. They are responsible for the miles and miles of electrical wiring aboard FOX and the elec- trical equipment it serves. The general announc- ing system which carries the gentle, melodious strains of the Boatswain's Mate's voice to every compartment of the ship with such welcome words as Reveille , is also maintained by E Division. And, of course, we would have a hard time finding our way from place to place with- out the gyro compass, a piece of gear the IC Gang maintains. Perhaps the most important function per- formed by E Division personnel is maintenance of the movie projectors and the procurring of new movies fat least as far as the crew is con- cernedy. t EM3 Bob Roeder EMFN Philip A. S TOR EKEEPER At one time or another, everyone aboard FOX has undoubtedly wished the Storekeepers would disappear, but the truth is the ship would come to a screeching halt without them. Their 1250's confoundieveryone and seem like unnec- essary harassment to many of us, but docu- mentation is a vital part of the supply system. Based on the data developed the SK?s have built a stockpile of all the frequently used parts we need to do. our-everyday work. If someone needs a part not stocked the SK's have agiant catalogue system andcan order it sothat it arrives on board-in the shortest possible time.
