From 23 July until 26 July 1970, FOX was moored in the very crowded and busy port of Kobe, Japan. From Kobe, most of the crew took a 30 mile train or taxi ride to the city of Osaka, Japan where the widely publicized EXPO-70 was being held. The pictures on this page and the two following, are of some of the sights we saw at the world's fair in Japan. The fair closed on 13 September 1970 with an average daily attendance of about a quarter of a million people.
