The storekeepers man the supply office and assure that the ship's repair parts, office supplies, and general housekeeping stocks are maintained at a suitable level. In addition, these men are responsible for the time consuming task of accounting for the multitude of supplies aboard. The central office for all of the storerooms is main issue. From here storekeepers have thejoh of receiving, issuing, identifying, inventoring, and accounting for all repair parts and general stores items. SHlP'S SERVICEM SH2 Bill Travis FOX's ship's servicemen undertake the tremendous task of supplying necessary items, such as shaving gear, toothpaste, etc., keeping our clothes clean and our hair trimmed. The ship's store mainly sells necessity items but candy film and more expensive items such as watches and radios are also sold. FOX has a two chair barber shop and during the cruise many heads of hair were cut for a very cheap price lNothing, except for a smile or a Thank You l. In WestPac the laundrymen had a huge task keeping us all lover 400 officers and menl supplied with clean clothes. They worked in SH3 Willard Laster SH3 Bienveni Aliganga SH3 Jim Jenkins two shifts lan almost around the clock johl in order that their work load might he accomplished.
