M - ..,, ...4 19 66 Dear Classmates, Your Acorn is the result of continuous effort from many people. There are those who worked especially hard to present it this year. Irene Talton and Glenda Lee, our P n sponsors, were behind me all the way. I know Mrs. Talton became terribly tired of bills coming in, picture taking, and fifth period. Poor Mrs. Lee sLu'ely had a headache the day before the annual was mailed-she proofread it! Neither of them will ever know how much they helped. Both of them are wonderful people to work with, I enjoyed working with them tremendously. I'll never forget Hallie Siddell. She's the vivacious person who took our superlative pictures.Mrs. Siddell certainly went out of her way to be kind to us. She took us to the home of some of her friends in Raleigh, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Edgerton. They were very gracious to let us use their beautiful home for otu' pictures. Mr. Reuben johnson-? Well, he's just the greatest sort of person! He always came when it was convenient for us and was so very patient. I-Ie really took some grand pictures, and I really appreciate it. You never know how nice people can be until you need them as desperately as we needed Mr. Johnson. Tim and David, our photographers, did quite a bit of running around getting pictures. They did a good job, too. Without the co-operative men from School Pictures, Greensboro, we couldn't have had an annual. They made all our individual shots and club pictures. I would like to thank the hard-workin staff for ll' d vertisers were rewarding. g se mg so many a s this year. All those trips to prospective ad- Our layout man from Hunter, J. B. Edwards, is quite a unique person. Ienjoyed talking and working with him very much. He gave us some pretty good ideas, too. We had some great typists! Mrs. Talton's room at fifth period really was busy while we were getting the annual typed. They were fast and never complained when the work piled up. And who was my right-hand man? Niles, of course! He was really a lot of help. It was really fun when we got together to work on the annual. Of course, it's Hunter Publishing Company who has made all the ideas of the staff materialize. This year has really been an experience. Even though it was pretty hectic at times, I enjoyed every minute of it! My sincere wish is that, through the years, this yearbook will be an inspiration to each of you. Sincerely, Bett Sanders, Editor N gf! By, ff' 5, ,1 f 4' Pi Pyljxy CW dm!
