'Y 79 GETS RINGS Juniors had the date of October 19 circled on their calendars since their sophomore year That was the day they were excused from morning classes to receive their class rings They were treated to a free breakfast inthe cafeteria consisting of french toast orange juice sausage and milk This gave the Juniors an opportunity to show off their rings and begin the good luck tradition of having their rings turned 79 times. Junior Commission worked hard to make the ring breakfast enjoyable for their fellow classmates. C29 UD Fling turning tradition at FV. Q25 Juniors receive their rings. CLUBS WEEK BRINGS STUDENTS TOGETHER -f 1: . :KEN - l . 1rKt,,,.. 1 With the beginning of another busy school year, students were scattered in search of their corner in school. Clubs week brought it all together on September 26-30. This week of club advertisements and sign ups gave students the opportunity to get involved and meet others with their same interests. THIS ONE'S FCJR YOU The Baron football team added the final ingredient to make the 1977 Homecoming festivities a perfect success. After remedying a power failure in HBHS Stadium that delayed the kick-off for thirty minutes, the mighty Barons had no trouble defeating Marina's Vikings 48-21. Halftime entertainment was centered around Baron Royalty as fans and friends anxiously awaited the announcement of the 1977 Homecoming King and Queen. The elegant Newporter Inn provided a romantic setting for the formal Homecoming Dance which was held on October 22. C25 C35 I8 C65
