pirit Week Preee es 6 9 Gold n Rev e , Game Spirit Week at FVHS was filled with exciting happenings Snack and lunch dur- ing the week of November I0 through I5 afforded the energetic an opportunity to display their talent. Monday's lunch found the student body cheering the Frosh. Soph. Junior and Senior classes on to victory in the FV H5005 Trieycles were not foreign to the Sophs who ran away with the win. Monday evening students at- tended a Sock Hop in the gym. Red jello was flying heavy as six contestants tried to eat their way to victory in a jello-eating contest Wednesday at snack. The vic- torious Mike Hix had only one word for his fans - BLEAHI Thursday, some unidcntifrable beings ,appeared on campus riding wagons, playing trombones, and dragging chains. After investigation, it was found that these were really students sold the day before as slaves to the student body. Lunch Thursday found the Mr. Pickle candidates pitted against- the Homecoming Queen candidates in a grueling basketball game. It is still undetermined how the queens managed to swing the win. Maybe a pay-off for the refs? FVHS looked like a scene from the Old West Friday as students were invited to dress in Western attire for Western Day. The noon hour saw students clinging to the end of a rope being dragged through the mud. The tug-of-war between the classes was an event in which all students were invited to participate. The climax of the week came Friday evening as Debbie Nelson was crowned l969 Homecoming Queen at the game against Edison.
