This year, the j.v. cheerleaders started off with a lot of girls. As the season progressed, though the numbers dwindled, but the dedicated ones kept their spirits up, and supported the teams as much as possible. As many have noticed, junior varsity cheerleaders don 't get lots of attentiong the girls are always there to support their teams even if no one supports them. All in all, being a junior varsity cheerleader was hard work. lt was also a thankless job, but as many know, the j.v. teams need support, and it was the cheerleaders job to do so. To keep in favor with the teams, every j.v. cheerleader must take the good with the bad.

The Fountain Ft. Carson Wrestling team had a successful 1985-86 season. The Trojan team worked hard to make a complete turnar- ound from last year. The team, young and inexperienced with only 3 seniors, have a bright future ahead of them. The Trojans recorded an overall record of 7-6 with a league record of 3-4 bettering last years of 3-10 and 0-6. The Trojan highlights were a 3rd place finish at the Fowler tour- nament and a tie for 4th at the Dist. Tourn. People who placed at the districts were: 4th place-112 Mike Lopez, 145 Fermin Walpando 3rd place- Dion Swaney at 98, Chris Barela at 105, and Richard Christian at 155, Znd place went to Gilbert Rodriques at 119 and Tony Boles at 185. No one qualiHed for the state tourn. but the year was still successful. The team is looking forward to the next year with a lot of enthusiasm.
