'CHESS 'UIDIUNWIIDY WIQISGI-S6 KT op to Bottom, L to R1 Kevin Wheeler, Doug Elliott, Paul Barnes, Matt Swaney, Dr. Helm, Butch Huffstetler, Rick Engman, Steve Greenlee, Dion Swaney, Melisa Mitchell, Angie Pritchett, and manager, Carol Cockroft. This year was a great year for Cross Country. The boys' team placed 15th in State. Dr. Helm and assistant coach Janie Schieffelin are impressed with their runners. They believe in the GALAXY 10071. This year the Trojan runners really improved. Even with setbacks caused by injuries, the Trojans always put out a strong showing. When Dr. Helm was asked about what place the Galaxy was in, he replied that they had unofHcially beaten every team in the league. The Trojan boys' team consisted of team captain Kevin Wheeler, Doug Elliott, Steve Greenlee, Pa ul Barnes, Matt Swaney, Dion Swaney, Steve lllich, Rick Engman, and Butch Huffstetler. ' The girls' team consisted of Angie Pritchett and Melisa Mitchell. The team manager was Carol Cockroft. When asked about going to State this year and hopefully from now on, Miss Schieffelin replied, We're hoping that going to State will create a tradition of competing in the State meet annually.
