I lUlBIlII'CATII'UNY The TROIAN TIMES, the school newspaper, played an important part in informing, entertaining, and persuading students of out- standing school events. journalism students also wrote original arti- cles, editorials, and poetry for the interest of the readers. Under the guidance of Mrs. Sommer, advisor, the staff strove to meet each dead- line. In order to produce each issue of the paper, news stories were first typed on the word processor and then printed. Once this job was completed, the stories were cut out to Ht the appropriate space on the layout sheet and then glued onto it. After that procedure was done, the paper was ready to go to the print- ers. IUUIIDNAIIIISMK All the deadlines are met, the book is off the presses, and now, with a sign of relief our work is accomplished. Many were the frus- trated and hurried moments when the cry went out to 'produceu midst the stacks of books, papers, and pictures. The initiation into the realm of cutlines, bleeding pic- tures, gutters, and dummies was ac- complished in due time. Working long hours after school, selling ads, wri ting copy, and going slightly zany are but a few of the many activities in which the year- book staff participated. The book itself now stands as a mute testimony of the work and perseverance put forth by the entire staff waiting only to be read to bring back fond memories which until then had remained in obscur- ity.
