One of the strangest even ts was the Miss Homely Trojanette contest. During this, a few of the male athletes dressed up as women. They competed with each other to be the best looking girl. They had to appear in front of the whole school, and looked their best. lt was really a sight to see. The contestants were: Doug fDaisyl Elliott escorted by Diana IDan the Manj Senkof Galen fGalaj Brown escorted by Donna lDonj Franco, Mike IMarthaj Miller escorted by Alicia IBig All Stewart, Cedrick fCeciliaj Smith escorted by Yolanda lYoundrickj jordan, and, Matt fMatildaj Woodall escorted by Loretta ILennyl Manzan- ares. The contestants were asked different questions, for example, Ce- drick fCecilial was asked, Where did you get your clothes? From that came an amusing answer. Cedrick fCeciliaj replied, I 'm think- ing . . . The candidates for the Homecoming court had their moment of glory when they were announced and escort- ed onto the Held. The decorations and the fans, were the scene for a winning combination, but things just didn 't go as planned. The game started, and it looked as though the rebels were an even match for the Trojans. Each of the two teams went into the game wanting to win. For the Trojans, the desire was there, but team unity wasn't. Every team has had its losses, and for the Trojans, it was the homecoming game. Although disappointed about the loss, the Trojans realized that there are more games to be played.
