Band: A Musical Experience The FFCHS Symphonic Band is a performing musical experience which aquaints students with marching band literature in the Fall and Symphonic Band music in the Winter and Spring. The Marching Band ln 1983 particl- pated in the Fountain Fall Festival, The Air Force Academy Band Day, and The Parade to Rockies. The FFCHS Jazz Band is a perform- ing organization which exposes musl- clans to various styles of Jazz and Jazz Rock music. Performances this year included a Winter Concert at FFCHS, participation ln the Manitou Jazz Fes- tival, The Central Plalne Jazz Festival, The Pikes Peak Jazz Festival as well as concerts for Fountain Jr. High and Fort Carson Jr. High School in the spring.
