Second Row: Marcel Dietze, Alan Longee, Tim Estes. Heavyweight Mike Fields led the Trojan Wrestling team during the 1979-80 season by placing fourth in the state AA tournament. He was the only trojan who placed at state. FFCFS qualified four wrestlers for state, Denny Falls 11451, Myron Saylor 11551, lim Criger I167l, and Mike Fields at Heavyweight. The best individual record also belonged to Fields at 20-wins 5-losses and 1-tie. Fountain's dual record was 9-4 overall and 3-1 in the Santa Fe league, good for second place. Coach Larry Olin's squad finished third in the Santa Fe district tournament, behind champion Rocky Ford, and Las Animas. Falls, Criger and Fields all reached the finals. Fields was the only wrestler from FFCHS to take the district title. The highlight of the regular season was a tournament team championship at the Lewis Palmer quadrangular. 58 V34 'ai' fi K fi g . .
