986560 Ifion fo ence The future is not so bright as it once was and the world is not so kind to its children. We have been told these things over and over. But we do not believe them. We believe that it is our job, and your job, too, to make the world the way we want it, to correct the faults that pre- vious generations have left behind. We must add our bit of culture, invention, and beauty if we are to be good citizens ' These things will not be easy to achieve, but no worth while thing comes easily to those who desire it. We will have to till the ground before we can plant the seeds of our ideals. Therefore, we, the class of 1945, dedicate this year- book, which holds our hopes, dreams, and deep prayers, to Peace. 3
